Changchun, Jilin, China – In a heartwarming escape from the daily grind, the Chemjoy team embarked on an unforgettable adventure at the Changchun Ice and Snow World after their annual year-end meeting. Nestled atop the picturesque Tian Ding Mountain, this world-class ice and snow theme park provided the perfect backdrop for their frosty escapade.
Chemjoy team members, all clad in cozy winter gear, arrived at the sprawling 156 hectares of icy wonderland in the early afternoon. Their eyes widened as they took in the breathtaking expanse, equivalent to a staggering 223 football fields. Despite the freezing temperature, many Chemjoy staff members removed their gloves and starting taking photos even before getting to the main attractions. The air buzzed with excitement as they prepared to immerse themselves in a frosty paradise.
The pièce de résistance was the world’s longest ice slide—a thrilling 512.6-meter descent that wound through vibrant twists and turns. Some of the Chemjoy team joined the long queue of people waiting in line for their turn down the slide. While waiting in line, they enjoyed a mobile show showcasing traditional Shaman rituals. After hours of waiting in line, it was finally their turn. Screams of delight echoed as the Chemjoy team zoomed down the colorful chute, their adrenaline levels soaring. Sounds like the wait was definitely worth it for them.
Despite the icy surroundings, warmth abounded. While some of the Chemjoy team members explored the park and enjoyed the rides, some other staff members decided to take in the snowy vistas in the park’s 18 heated facilities, which maintained a cozy 22°C average temperature. Later that day, they eagerly showed off the amazing views they have captured using their cameras to the other Chemjoy team members.
As the sun dipped behind snow-capped peaks, Chemjoy team members gathered back together and explored the yet unseen parts of the park, home to 120 intricately crafted ice and snow structures divided into five thematic zones that used up over 73,000 cubic meters of ice and snow to construct. The team went on a mesmerizing journey through the Ice Silk Road, the Dragon’s Prosperity, which left them with the most unforgettable memories. To mark the end of the day, the Chemjoy team joined hundreds of people at the Snow Disco and danced to groovy and vibrant music under a thick flurry created by snow machines.
Bonds strengthened, and memories etched themselves into hearts. For Chemjoy team members, the Changchun Ice and Snow World wasn’t just a destination—it was a magical escape, a day of joy, and a reminder that when you have friends you can share a good time with, you will always feel warm in your heart no matter how cold the weather is.
